Easier Online Ordering of Convex Bio-Degradable Bags
Convex Plastics, March 8th, 2010Ordering bio-degradable pre-made carry bags and bin liners on the Convex Plastics website is now a lot easier thanks to a recent “Extreme Makeover”, which updated the shopping cart and made browsing much more streamlined.

The online ordering section of the Convex website is currently being further upgraded to enable purchases to be made by credit card. This facility is expected to be up and running within the next two months.
Convex Plastics Managing Director Owen Embling says the online ordering section of the Convex website has been especially designed to enable individuals and businesses to purchase pre-made stock items both easily and economically.
At present five bio-degradable offerings are available to order on the Convex website.
Four of these options are made from Greensack. Made from cornstarch, these completely compostable bags and liners make it really easy for both companies and individuals to make a positive contribution to reducing landfill waste. The Greensack bin and commercial wheelie bin liners are ideal for disposing of organic waste in the home or commercial premises and the Greensack check out bags and carry bags provide functional biodegradable options for retail.
The fifth bio-degradable offering available on the Convex website are the Ingeo reusable shopping bags, which are available for only $2 each. Made from Poly Lactic Acid (PLA), Ingeo shopping bags are both smart and practical, and offer the added benefit of being able to be commercially composted at the end of their life.
Owen says the non woven Ingeo bag can be used multiple times and could potentially save up to 1,000 standard disposable high density poly propylene (HDPE) shopping bags from going to landfill waste. “That’s the equivalent of 11,000 litres of petrol or a greenhouse gas saving of 81,000 kilometres in the average car,” he says.
