Taking their total to five highly commended accolades achieved in the three years of the competition, promotional banners organised by their Auckland Sales Office for Coca Cola Sydney and Just Juice came third and fourth out of 28 entries in the Flexographic Printing - On Any Other Material (bar paper or board) category which was one of 24 categories attracting 1152 entrants New Zealand wide.
Convex Plastics Factory Manager, Stafford Coster, says his company is especially pleased with the industry recognition as the winning entries were selections of their everyday work and not specifically produced for the competition. "We take what we’ve done as a production run so that makes our work consistently high quality."
Producing continuous plastic posters in up to six colours with almost invisible joins, Mr Coster says, "It’s the high difficulty level which helps us to win in most situations. All the work we do is stuff everybody else can’t do or don’t want to know about but we tend to find ways of doing it. We get in there, do the experimentation, and make it work for the customer."
