Instant Success Predicted for Convex-Packed Chicken Chips

Convex Plastics, May 15th, 2000

Aria FarmAria Farm are extending their range of Convex Plastics packaging with the launch this month of their new 500g packs of freeflow chicken chips.

Designed to appeal to both existing consumers and those who don't eat red meat, the new chicken chips are expected to be an instant success. Sales of Aria Farm's existing beef and lamb chips rocketed in March and the new chicken chips are expected to be more popular than both of these products combined.

Aria Farm Ltd directors, Erik and Anna Arndt, say that in order to successfully commercialise their products they needed a package which would be eye-catching enough to help create sales, and sophisticated enough to ensure their products survived harsh handling and long-term freezing.

As a result, Convex created what the Arndts describe as a `sophisticated, professionally-printed, bullet-proof package' which maximises the freezer life of their products and always looks presentable.

According to Erik Arndt, "The high-quality print presentation that Convex provides has helped us win extensive national supermarket support. We are also able to guarantee almost zero product ullage due to the proven high-strength features of the packs."

Erik says, Aria Farm meat chips are positioned as a healthy convenient food for families in a hurry.

They have also proven to be hugely popular with elderly live-alone consumers who find the freeflow tender meat pieces easy to prepare and eat.

The new chicken chips are expected to be available throughout New Zealand by the end of May.
