Innovative Printing Wins Award
Convex Plastics, January 30th, 2002
Convex Plastics' high level of service and commitment to quality workmanship has won them an Australian printing award.
Lawn fertiliser packaging manufactured and printed by Convex Plastics for Adelaide-based company, Manutec pty Ltd, was awarded a silver medal at this year's Australian Flexographic Technical Association (AFTA) awards held in Sydney, August 13.
According to Convex Plastics Printing Manager, Gary Dillistone, the Manutec packaging caught the eye of the judges due to its good registration, high saturation of colour, and the complex variation of screens involved.
He says, "We're always looking for ways to give our printing more impact. This combined with Manutec's commitment to innovative design and willingness to be flexible with their specifications has allowed us to produce the best look and quality for their packaging."
The resulting high shelf appeal of their lawn fertiliser packaging has enabled Manutec to increase their distribution and sales.
Manutec Sales Manager, Kym O'Brien says, "With Convex we've found a company that we can partner with to produce high quality innovative packaging that maximises our shelf appeal and visibility in the market place."
"I am particularly impressed with the commitment of the people working in the Convex factory, and with the whole company's high level of service and commitment to make things happen."
The award was one of two silver medals awarded in the wide web reverse print (film) category of the competition. No gold medal was awarded in the category this year.
